2007年5月18日　第一日目

イベント前日。池田駿介さんハワイに到着する。５月のキカイダーブラザースイベントは19、20日の2日間にわたって行われる。キカイダ−01DVDボックスセットリリースを記念するイベントだ。今回、日本から8人ものキカイダーファンの皆さんがイベントに参加するためにやって来た。彼らにハワイでの熱狂ぶりを直に感じてもらえるのが嬉しい。

伴さんはハワイにいる間はアラモアナ周辺をブラブラするのが好きで、同じコースを何回も繰り返して歩いても飽きないという。アラモアナセンターのフードコートで昼食をとるのがいつも楽しみで、その後はいつも海に面したアラモアナパークを一周するそうだ。ウイークデーは人も少なく、肌を焼きながら一人で過ごすひとときは格別だという。

夕方は伴さん、池田さん、私との３人で、Macy's内のレストランでミーティングを兼ねた夕食をとる。19と20日のスケジュールを説明するが、期間が短いのでかなりヘビースケジュール。ディナーが終わったころ日本のファンの方二人が伴さん達にホテルまで会いに来られた。コーヒーと軽食を一緒にするが次の日が7時45分集合と早いのでこの日は早めにお開きとなる。

Day 1

Day before the event. Ikeda Shunsuke, Kikaida's older brother Ichiro, in Kikaida 01, arrives. So do the 8 fans from Japan. Ban is grateful that these fans made it, and got to see first hand how Kikaida events are conducted, and how much Kikaida is loved overseas.

Ban spends the day at Ala Moana Shopping Center. He never tires of browing through the shops at Ala Moana. Lunch is usually taken at theFood Court, and there's a daily walk to Ala Moana Park. It's very tranquil there during the week day and hardly any people. Good chance for him to get his tan.

Evening. Ikedasan looks good, but has a long day, arriving from Narita that morning. The 3 of us have an early dinner at Macy's with to go over the events of the next 2 days. The schedule is very tight.After returning to the Ala Moana Hotel, some Japan fans are waiting for Ban so we have coffee and light drinks. Crew call the next day is at 7:45, so we call it an evening after meeting with them.
